Work & Professional Inboxes
Premail distinguishes between personal and professional email accounts. Personal accounts use well-known consumer domains: gmail.com, icloud.com, outlook.com, hotmail.com, and similar. Professional accounts use custom domains, including Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 business accounts.
Connecting personal inboxes is included in the free plan. Connecting professional or work inboxes requires Premail Pro.
What counts as a professional inbox
- Any Gmail account that isn't @gmail.com or @googlemail.com (Google Workspace)
- Any Outlook account that isn't @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, or @live.com (Microsoft 365 or Exchange)
- Any iCloud account that isn't @icloud.com, @me.com, or @mac.com
How to connect a work inbox
The process is the same as connecting a personal inbox. In the Accounts tab, click "Add Account" and choose Gmail or Outlook. If the email address you sign in with uses a custom domain, Premail will detect it as professional and prompt you to upgrade if you're on the free plan.
If you connect a professional inbox and then let your Pro license expire, Premail will pause monitoring for that account until you renew.
