Email Activity Log
The Activity tab shows a running log of everything Premail has done: which messages it classified, which rules matched, what actions were taken, and the confidence score for each decision.
Click any entry to see the full classification trace, including the AI's reasoning for why it assigned the category it did. If Premail is doing something surprising, this is where to look first.
- Each entry shows the sender, subject, matched category, action taken, and confidence.
- The trace view shows the full reasoning from the AI model.
- You can add a sender to the allowlist directly from any activity entry.
- You can create a custom rule based on a message you're looking at.
How do you expand an activity log entry?
Every entry can be expanded into a step-by-step trace showing each rule that was evaluated and why it passed or failed. This is what makes a surprising action diagnosable rather than mysterious: you can see whether a rule matched at a lower confidence than you expected, or whether an earlier rule claimed the message first. The full trace is part of Premail Pro - see Rule Explainability.
Can you act on a message from the activity log?
You do not have to switch tabs to correct something. From an activity entry you can:
- Add the sender to your allowlist so they are never filtered again
- Create a new custom rule based on that message
- Adjust the rule that fired, including its confidence threshold
This is the fastest correction loop in the app. When something is handled wrongly, fix it from the log entry while you are looking at the evidence.
What per-account metrics does the log show?
Each connected account tracks its own totals over time: rules matched, actions taken, mark-as-read, blocks, and completed unsubscribes. If one account behaves very differently from another, that is usually a sign its mode or thresholds differ rather than the mail itself being different.
