Analytics
The Analytics tab turns Premail's work into a real picture: how many emails it handled, how much of your time that gave back, and which actions did the heavy lifting. Open it any time you want a quick answer to "what has Premail done for me lately?"
What you'll see
- Three headline KPIs at the top: emails handled, total time saved, and average time saved per email.
- A stacked bar chart of activity over time. Buckets switch automatically based on the range: hourly for short ranges, daily for the medium ones, weekly for longer windows.
- Breakdowns by action (Archive, Trash, Unsubscribe, and so on) and by account, so you can see which rules and which inbox drove the savings.
- A lifetime card at the bottom showing all-time totals, never affected by the date filter.
Date-range filters
Use the sticky filter bar at the top of the tab to scope every chart and KPI below it. Presets cover Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, This month, and All time. Use Custom range for anything in between. Filter by account and by action type to drill into a specific inbox or a specific rule outcome.
How time saved is estimated
Premail doesn't time you. It uses a fixed seconds-per-action lookup based on industry averages: a glance-and-archive is worth a few seconds, an unsubscribe flow you didn't have to click through is worth quite a bit more. The "?" next to the Time Saved KPI in the tab shows the same note.
The numbers are estimates, not stopwatches. They give you an honest order of magnitude for how much manual triage Premail is doing on your behalf, not a line-item accounting of every second.
Privacy
The analytics store is statistical only. No sender, subject, body, label name, or folder name is written to it. Only the action taken, the account ID, and a timestamp. The account ID is the same opaque identifier Premail uses internally, never the email address itself.
Use Clear analytics history at the bottom of the tab to wipe the store at any time. Clearing the Activity log does not clear analytics history, and vice versa. The two stores are independent.
